GAME RESULTS VS WASHINGTON ADVENTIST -AWAY
"We battled against a very, very good team...."
"We battled against a very, very good team on their home court for 40 minutes but we just came up short. I am proud of the effort and intensity we showed from beginning to end. We'll regroup and prepare for victory on Thursday". Pat Filien, Head Coach Bobcats
Without heading home first, The Bryant & Stratton College-Albany Men's Basketball Team is on their way to play American National on Thursday.
Bobcats making 29 of 36 field goals is nothing to be ashamed of, but with Washington Adventist taking 11 more shots at the buckets and making 14% more of their shots proved to be a difference-maker for the home team. The Bobcats did excel forcing 22 turnovers, yet WAU crashed the boards with more intensity with a total of 47 rebounds (18 OREB and 29 DREB) compared to Albany's 29 (11 OREB and 18 DREB) putting more dings in the armor of the 'Cats. WAU, plays the NAIA Circuit, and their current record is now 15-3 record.
Between the Perez Twins and Jamil Hood, 59 of the 77 points were made by the starting lineup. Starter Randall Douvier pitched in with 2 points and 3 rebounds playing 14 minutes. From the bench, Kyle Brown Jr., and Sebastian Vidal-Casnaova both contributed 5 points, Austin Decker with 4, and Shane Taylor with 2.
Small College Athletics is alive and well on the Albany Campus as basketball is in full gear and the baseball team is preparing for the road. Basketball is dominant right now as the Bobcats Teams are primarily on the road for the remaining regular-season play. With a double-header on Saturday January 25th, the Lady Bobcats tip off vs SUNY Sullivan @1p.m., and the Men make their final appearance on the home court as well @ 4p.m., vs Central Maine CC-Games you won't want to miss!
