Women's Basketball Falls to Bryant & Stratton College- Albany, 71-60

The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Basketball team lost on Saturday evening to Bryant & Stratton College- Albany, 70-61. The loss drops the Bobcats' record to 2-16 on the season.
How it Happened:
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Basketball team returned to their home court for the final time of the 2022-23 season on Saturday evening for the second leg of the home-and-home versus Bryant & Stratton College- Albany. Following the loss on Wednesday night, the Lady Bobcats looked to avenge their loss earlier in the week and came out strong in the first quarter. The Lady Bobcats were able to open up a 21-12 lead after the first quarter thanks to strong starts from Shania Lewis, Magnama Traore, and Suliat Afolabi.
In the second quarter, the defensive pressure from Bryant & Stratton College- Albany started to effect the Lady Bobcats. The visitors would go on a 24-9 run throughout the second quarter to take a 36-30 lead into halftime.
In the second half, the Lady Bobcats fought hard, but the strong defensive effort continued from the visitors from Albany. The two teams would trade baskets througout the 3rd quarter and the lead for Bryant & Stratton College- Albany would grow by just 1-point, 54-47.
The final 10 minutes on the Lady Bobcats' home court for the 2022-23 season would not result in a come from behind victory. Despite the team fighting hard, Bryant & Stratton College- Albany would grow their lead over the course of the 4th quarter and go on to win, 71-60.

The Lady Bobcats will play in their final game of the 2022-23 regular season on Monday, February 20th vs. Cheyney University at 5pm.
