In a highly-charged game on the road vs Vermont Tech, the Lady Bobcats left nothing on the floor. The final score was 81-84. Returning home the Bobcats starting 5 knew their performance was overall on task- afterall, each of their contributions were with high performance and nothing to be ashamed of. "Our ladies did a great job. There wasn't much more that I could have asked of them." We play to win- and we will continue to go to the court to do just that. STARTING 5 vs Vermont Tech
Newcomer Taynique Hawthorne led the Bobcats in three categories putting up 22 points with 15 rebounds with 6 forced turnovers. Center, Lauren Feldman averaging 8.5 points per game in her college career, came in strong with 14, added 10 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 assists, Kiara Sweeney sunk 10 mirroring with 10 rebounds, 2 steals and her B&SC career-high of 6 assists. Anyla Harper played with power adding 11 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. And Madison Perez who never disappoints, added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 1 assist.
Although a loss was added to the overall record now 4-14, the numbers don't lie. The skill level has clearly increased in the 2nd half of their season and making for great game to watch.
The opponents simply put up more shots than the visiting Lady Bobcats. B&SC made 27/79 field goals. 36.7 % compared to the home tea's 34/88 (38.6%) - a closely matched game! Despite making 68% of their free throws and an impressive 35.3% of 3-pointers compared to Techs 36.8% and 30.8% where the difference maker at Monday night's game was-the shots put up.
