IT WAS GRITTY PLAY
(January 28, 2020) Bobcats lose by just 1 point (70-71)
The Bobcats took to the road to play Orange Sullivan Wednesday night and with a slow start- just didn't catch up in time. "A tough start at the beginning, followed by a spirited comeback and a brief lead in the second half, led to a back and forth final few minutes. In the end, it wasn't enough as they couldn't hold the lead and fell in the final seconds." Head Coach, Pat Filien
As with the Lady Bobcats who tipped off in Vermont at 6:00 simultaneously - it was with similar fashion: lots of good play, and great overall stats, their opponents Just did their job jusit one point better changing their visitors record to 13-14.
The starting 5 stayed in the game all but just a few minutes in the battle.
Jamil Hood, who's played a domineering game all season, led the team with 28 points (11 of those making 12/12 free throws), 10 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. Kobbie Perez rocked in 16 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, assisted with 8 points a steal. Reggie Perez put up 15, with 5 rebounds, three assists and forced 7 turnovers on the home team. Senior, Randall Douvier landed 6 points with 4 rebounds and Josh Monjuste added 5 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals.
The team is playing a tough schedule and that's what it takes to build skill and get wins. The Bobcats will tip-off on the road vs SUNY Sullivan Saturday, February 1st at 3:00 immediately following the Lady Bobcats.
