BOBCATS FALL IN OVERTIME TO FISHER COLLEGE, 77-72

Men's basketball fell to Fisher College in a hard fought overtime battle on Saturday afternoon with a final score of 77-72.
The first half started slow for both teams, but a small flurry near the end allowed the hosts to take a 31-24 into the break.. Fisher extended the lead by as many as 12 points late into the second half. At that point, the Bobcats defense stiffened and fought back creating turnovers that led to uncontested layup opportunities cumulating with a steal and a layup by Reggie Perez with 7 seconds lift tying the game at 65 and forcing the extra session.
In overtime, a series of unfortunate bounces at the offset allowed Fisher to score the first 8 points, which led the Bobcats being outscored 12-7 at the end.
At the final buzzer, the Bobcats ended up with four in double figures-Jamil Hood (24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists), Kobbie Perez (17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals), Reggie Perez (11 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists), and Sebastian Vidal-Casanova (10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals).
"I was really proud of the team's effort, resilience, and defensive energy fighting back to tie the game after being down by double digits. Unfortunately in overtime, we rean out of gas and couldn't pull out the win."
The Bobcats regular season slate is over and now await the release of a potential bid to the USCAA National Tournament. The Selection Show revealing seeding and matchups will be held on Wednesday, March 4th.
