Men's Basketball Award Winners
The Bryant and Stratton College Albany Bobcats Men's Basketball Team showcased their talent at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Basketball Skills and Awards Show, held on Saturday, March 9th, at Virginia State College in Richmond, Virginia. Among a sea of talented athletes from across the nation, the Bobcats emerged as standouts, earning recognition for their exceptional performances throughout the season.
Amari Scott, a pivotal member of the Bobcats squad, was recognized with Honorable Mention USCAA All-America. Scott's consistent contributions to the team's success, both on offense and defense, earned him a well-deserved place among the nation's top collegiate basketball players.
Denali Burton, another integral player for the Bobcats, was recognized with Second Team USCAA All-America accolades. Burton's skillful playmaking, defensive prowess, and leadership on the court were instrumental in guiding the team to numerous victories throughout the season.
Devon Smith-Johnson, a standout performer for the Bobcats, was selected for the First Team USCAA All-America. Smith-Johnson's exceptional talent, dedication, and work ethic made him a standout player in collegiate basketball, showcasing his ability to dominate both ends of the court.
In addition to individual accolades, the Bobcats also showcased their skills in the 3-point contest and dunk contest. Amari Scott represented the team in the 3-point contest, demonstrating his sharpshooting abilities with precision and accuracy. Meanwhile, Jordan Alleyne showcased his athleticism and flair in the dunk contest, captivating the audience with his high-flying dunks and electrifying performances.
The Bobcats are gearing up for their next challenge as they face Southeastern Illinois University in the USCAA DI Basketball tournament on March 10th at 7 PM.
