GAME DAY AT BSC BUFFALO
BUFFALO, NEW YORK - Bryant & Stratton College -Albany women's basketball team is on the road for the next 5 games starting with BSC-Buffalo. Buffalo is undefeated at home and with an overall record of 11-5; Albany is 7-8.
Head Coach Jahmel Samuels on the on the road stretch: "With 5 games ahead we have more bodies to use now and everyone will play and have a role with us having success on the road. We must steal a few wins by letting our defense establish the flow of the game. We need our guards to control the game and punch first in every game. Saige Roberts has to knock down some shots; Naseya Dix must get out on the break and get some transition baskets. Aalyiha Johnson has to set up everyone and lead the show. We need Hasjina Gaddy to have a good game-she didn't play well last game; I'm expecting her-she's capable of a double-double; and Anyla Harper who's been on a tear with points and rebounds needs to play a full game and not get into foul trouble. Our bench is going to be key. They have to be ready to play and give us quality minutes and we need Regina Wallace to step up and bring that defensive intensity she has and all the newcomers need to be ready to play.
Head Coach Jahmel Samuels on the Buffalo game: "Buffalo is a good team and has a lot of talent as their record shows. We have to run and keep attacking their man-to-man defense and get them into foul trouble early. We must play good defense on their shooter and scorers. We need to execute on offense and play great team defense with everyone buying in. In order to be a great program, we have to go through Buffalo-they have been the big sister in USCAA college basketball for a while."
